The weather lined up perfectly for HOMEROOM 5's campout at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park this past Thursday and Friday. It was great to see so many REDFISH parents come out and support the event through the potluck on Thursday evening. BIG thanks go out to HR5 Teacher, Ms.

A warm welcome to September and to the 2023-2024 school year. I am pleased to welcome every one of our more than 4700 students and each family whose child or children have embarked on what may be a first or a next chapter of their educational journey within School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake).

Look at those floors shine! The building is clean and ready for school start-up. REDFISH would like to send out a big THANK YOU to Shannon for all her work in the building over the summer.

REDFISH received some fresh paint over the summer. Maria SCHUH, the artist who painted the mural at the front of the building back in 2010, stopped by with a friend to freshen up the paint and cover the mural with a clear coat. The exterior of the school building also received a fresh coat of paint.

April is a great time to reconnect with one another after spring break, and to reengage with our individual and collective purpose: to support and realize the success of each of our learners as we begin the final three months of the 2022-2023 school year.
