Week 2 UPDATE
Dear REDFISH Families,
As we head into WEEK 2 of the school year, I would like to highlight a few updates…
REDFISH SECRETARY
REDFISH Elementary School would like to warmly welcome Jessica HEER to the team! Jessica will be working as secretary in the REDFISH front office as of Tuesday, September 12.
RPAC MEETING
The first REDFISH PAC meeting of the year is scheduled to take place in person this Wednesday, September 13 at 5:00 PM in the library at REDFISH. Please send an email to redfishpac@gmail.com to have your email address added to RPAC’s mail list. This will help ensure you receive all RPAC correspondence moving forward.
UPDATED K-12 STUDENT REPORTING POLICY
The Ministry of Education and Child Care is updating the K-12 student reporting policy beginning in the 2023/2024 school year. This will change aspects of how schools report learning to students and parents.
The goal of communicating student learning is to ensure that communication between home and school is effective and timely, so that:
- parents are well informed about their child’s progress;
- parents are involved as partners in a dialogue about their child’s progress and the best ways to support and improve learning; and
- students are provided with information that is meaningful to them and helps them to improve their own learning.
