Dear REDFISH Families,

Environment Canada seems to suggest that summer break will be wrapping up in style this coming Labour Day long weekend. On behalf of the REDFISH staff, I would like to express our building excitement and anticipation as we work hard to prepare for the quickly approaching 2024/2025 school year. We look forward to seeing your kiddos back in the building at REDFISH next week, and we sincerely hope that you and your families have found much rest and renewal over the summer break.

Following are a few tidbits of information to help ease your transition back to school… 

WELCOME ABOARD

While all REDFISH staff from last year are returning for the 2024/2025 school year, we would also like to warmly welcome Ms. Cathy FOWLER to the team. Ms. FOWLER is coming on board as an additional Education Assistant (EA), alongside Ms. DONNELLY. As well, we are happy to announce that Ms. Trisha RENZIE is returning as our continuing custodian at REDFISH. REDFISH would also like to take a moment to welcome all new families joining our school community this year!

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2024

School will kick-off for students in Grades 1-7 on Tuesday morning at 8:05 AM. Returning students will simply report to their 2023/2024 homerooms for the morning, while new students can check-in at the front office. Please note that students will be dismissed at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, with buses running three hours earlier than usual.

Kindergarten families are directed to the specific scheduling information and instructions that were sent out via email earlier this week from your children’s kindergarten teacher. 

2024/2025 CLASS LISTS

Classroom teachers will be emailing their class families directly on the evening of Tuesday, September 3, 2024 to introduce themselves and welcome their students for the 2024/2025 school year. All students in Grades 1-7 will report to their new classrooms on Wednesday morning at 8:05 AM.

Thank you for your patience as we carefully and thoughtfully built our homerooms for the new school year! 

2024/2025 BELL SCHEDULE

REDFISH has slightly updated its bell schedule for the 2024/2025 school year. The new bell schedule can be found HERE.

BUS REGISTRATIONS

All bus registrations submitted by the June 26, 2024 deadline have been processed. Confirmation emails were sent out by SD8 Transportation to these families on August 16, 2024. Any registrations received after the deadline are currently being processed. Please stay tuned.
