Dear REDFISH Families,

I hope your kiddos are feeling confident, settled, and secure as they notch their second week back at REDFISH! Following are some important things to keep in mind as we head into the last weekend of summer…

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Along with all elementary schools across SD8, REDFISH Elementary School pre-purchased school supplies on behalf of its families for the 2023/2024 school year. The amount was set at $40 per student in the spring, in concertation with SD8 and RPAC. At this point, REDFISH Elementary School needs to recoup the $40 per student from REDFISH families.

If you have not already done so, please submit your payments through the ‘Make a Payment’ feature on the REDFISH school website. For those unable to pay online, please visit Jessica in the front office to pay by credit card, cheque (Redfish Elementary School), or cash (exact change, please). We would like to have all payments in by Thursday, September 21.

If this payment presents a hardship for your family, please contact me directly at mark.bonikowsky@sd8.bc.ca to work out a plan.

STUDENT INFO VERIFICATION FORMS

Student information verification forms are coming home with students today. Please take some time this weekend to carefully review all information on both sides of your child’s form. Please add or correct any missing or outdated information. Please note that all forms must be signed and returned to the school.

We are hoping to have the bulk of the forms back by Monday, with all forms returned by Thursday, September 21 at the latest. Thank you for your help with this important, annual process!

BALFOUR KIDS CLOTHING SHARE

REDFISH is once again serving as a drop-off location for the annual Balfour Kids Clothing Share. Children’s clothing in good and clean condition in sizes up to 14 can be dropped off in the blue collection bin outside the school office at REDFISH up until Friday, October 13. PLEASE NOTE: No adult clothes or other items!
