Principal's MESSAGE (March 8, 2024)
Dear REDFISH Families,
The publishing of student learning updates this afternoon marks the end of a long couple of weeks for REDFISH staff. I know many of our families have been busy as well and are looking forward to a restful and relaxing weekend. Hopefully, the weekend will also provide you with some space and time to connect with your children around their school experiences. Here is some additional information to help you along your way…
T2 LEARNING UPDATES (MyED Parent Portal)
T2 learning updates were published to the MyEducationBC Parent Portal this afternoon. Please note that the MyED platform experienced some system-wide formatting issues this week with respect to the learning updates. As such, please let us know if anything seems amiss with respect to your child’s learning update.
If all goes as planned, you will be reading a PDF of this paperless learning update via the Parent Portal. If you are having trouble accessing the Parent Portal, please visit the support page on our school website. Beyond that, you can reach out to clerical.red@sd8.bc.ca at some point next week for additional help if needed.
For students who were in attendance this week, a paper copy of the self-reflection and goal-setting activity focused around the ‘Personal + Social’ core competency was sent home today.
2024/2025 ENROLMENT SURVEY
Calling all REDFISH families! If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment this weekend to complete the extremely short, but important, online survey (i.e. one survey per student) that was linked in this week's parent email. Thank you for your ongoing help as we carefully prepare for the 2024/2025 school year!
ROBIN HOOD VISITS REDFISH (March 13+14, 2024 @ 6PM)
Class 7’s production of Robin Hood is coming to the GYM stage at REDFISH on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 and Thursday, March 14, 2024 with a 6:00 PM showtime on both evenings. Admission is by donation. All funds raised will go to support Class 7’s trip to Fort Steele in June 2024. Please mark your calendars!
SD8 SUSTAINABILITY SURVEY
The SD8 Board of Education is seeking to develop a Sustainability Policy and is looking to gather feedback from parents on what to consider in this work. With this in mind, please take a moment to complete the online survey HERE.
