Dear REDFISH Families,

As all that wonderful powder in the mountains turns to peanut butter, I am sure many of our REDFISH families have switched gears and are ready to soak up the sun and head out for some quality family time together over spring break. Enjoy! Take care! Stay safe!

But before you go… Here is some important information, highlights, and opportunities for your perusal as we wrap-up our final school week of March 2024…

SPRING BREAK

Schools across SD8 will be closed for spring break from March 16, 2024 to April 1, 2024. Please note that school resumes on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

T2 LEARNING UPDATE SURVEY

Please take a minute (or less) to complete the brief survey linked in the parent email to let us know whether or not you have had a chance to view your child’s T2 learning update.

2024/2025 ENROLMENT DATA (LAST CALL)

Last call to provide REDFISH with important enrolment data for 2024/2025 via the link provided in the parent email! Thank you for your help!

ROBIN HOOD WAS HERE!

Congratulations to Homeroom 5 (i.e. Ms. Hodgson’s GR5/6 class) for an extremely successful and entertaining run of Robin Hood performances on the main stage in the REDFISH gym this week! Thank you again to Ms. Hodgson and her volunteers for all their work behind the scenes… and to the REDFISH family community for the overwhelming support!

INDIGENOUS DANCE ASSEMBLY

REDFISH students and staff were treated to a special assembly this past Wednesday. Janelle, a Secwépemc fancy shawl and jingle dress dancer, visited REDFISH to share a little bit of her culture through her gift of dancing and background knowledge around her intricate regalia. REDFISH was a receptive audience and the students peppered Janelle with loads of interesting questions.

SD8 SUSTAINABILITY SURVEY

The SD8 Board of Education is seeking to develop a Sustainability Policy and is looking to gather feedback from parents on what to consider in this work. With this in mind, please take a moment to complete the online survey linked in the parent email prior to Friday, April 12, 2024.
