Charlotte Dryden

Kindergarten and Counselling

Greetings to the lovely Redfish School community! My name is Ms. Charlotte Dryden and I am very excited to be joining the Redfish kindergarten teaching team this fall!

My husband, two young daughters and I moved to Nelson just over two years ago from the UK. My husband is Scottish, my daughters (aged 3 and 6) were also born in Scotland and I am English. We lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for a little over 5 years before we moved abroad, firstly to Norway for a year of adventure, then onto our forever home here in the Kootenays.

Moving our family half way across the world was very much a life-choice, what an incredible upbringing our children will have surrounded by such beauty and endless opportunity for an outdoor life style. This, along with a caring family-feel community makes us feel so privileged to be here.

I graduated as a teacher in 2007 and have successfully advanced my career in England, Scotland and Nelson for a combined total of 10 years. I have experience teaching a range of grades, including Kindergarten. I love the curiosity and wonder this age group has for the world around them and the energy they hold for life.

As a teacher I strive to ignite students’ love for learning through engaging, meaningful and memorable learning experiences.

I look forward to meeting you and your incredible children!
