Notes for week of March 4

Happy sunny morning Redfish Families,

Please see email sent home Saturday for updated information on the Momo character popping up in videos.  It has appeared in some Minecraft videos that Redfish children have seen, though the concerns about the character interacting with children appears to be a hoax.

Looking ahead:

Friday is our day set aside for staff to delve deeply into the redesigned curriculum and this year a main event is on Indigenous Education with Jo Chrona.  For a reminder on what the redesigned curriculum looks like: https://curriculum.gov.bc.ca/

For indigenous students, there is an Aboriginal Culture Camp at the Touchstones Museum March 18-22

for ages 7-12.  The camp will run from 9:30- 2:30 with lunch provided. There will be a variety of Elders and knowledge keepers coming to provide programming. There is no cost to families.

Please contact Toni Appleby tappleby@sd8.bc.ca for more information or to sign up.
